THE BRIEF

A launch-week junket, on location

Finding Her Edge is a Netflix series produced by WildBrain Edge. With the premiere days away, the publicity team lined up ten outlets to interview cast members Madelyn Keys, Cale Ambrozic, Olly Atkins and Alexandra Beaton.

Rather than move the cast to a studio, the junket ran out of the production company’s own office downtown. That meant building a broadcast-quality interview set in a working boardroom and running it for a full day.

THE SETUP

From boardroom to studio by first interview

We loaded in at 6 am. The background was built around the step-and-repeat the client provided, flanked by the show’s pull-up banners. Then came the camera and lighting, and finally sound.

The interviews were shot single-camera on a cinema camera, with a teleprompter in front of the lens. Instead of script, the prompter showed each reporter on a video call, so the cast could look straight down the lens and still see who they were talking to. Their audio was fed to the call so the conversation flowed naturally, while the interview itself was recorded locally at full quality.

THE DAY

Ten interviews, ten deliveries

Over a 10-hour day the cast spoke with ten outlets back to back. A two-person Links Live Media crew covered camera, sound and media management, with Robert managing the files and delivering them to each outlet.

As each interview wrapped, the files were uploaded and shared by cloud drive with that outlet, so every reporter had their footage the same day, ready to cut for launch-week coverage.

THE RESULT

Coverage in place for premiere week

Every outlet got its interview on the day it was shot, giving the publicity team a full slate of coverage for the launch. Finding Her Edge premiered on Netflix on January 22, 2026 and has since been renewed for a second season.
